Job Summary

A Kforce client is looking for a Director of Communications in the Miami area. This full-time role supports all corporate communications functions, including executive messaging, internal communications, external brand positioning, crisis management, public relations, and digital engagement. Responsibilities include crafting high-impact messaging, developing corporate storytelling, managing media and public relations, partnering on crisis communications, and coordinating external narratives. The Director will also serve as a thought partner to the SVP, Communications on strategy and execution.

Must Have

  • Craft high-impact messaging, speeches, and thought leadership content.
  • Develop and refine corporate storytelling.
  • Work on corporate media relations and public relations efforts.
  • Partner with external agency on crisis communications planning and execution.
  • Coordinate with social media, content, and internal communications teams to create compelling external narratives.
  • Serve as a thought partner to SVP, Communications on executive and corporate communications, strategy and execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in executive communications, brand messaging, crisis management, and corporate reputation strategy.
  • Proven ability to partner with C-suite executives and provide strategic counsel on high-profile communications initiatives.
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and content development skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, pivot quickly and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

  • Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • Financial or policy-related communications experience.

We are seeking a full-time Director of Communications to help support all corporate communications functions, including executive messaging, internal communications, external brand positioning, crisis management, public relations, and digital engagement. Responsibilities:

  • Crafting high-impact messaging, speeches, and thought leadership content
  • Developing and refining corporate storytelling
  • Work on corporate media relations and public relations efforts, ensuring consistent and strategic brand messaging
  • Partner with our external agency on crisis communications planning and execution, ensuring Lennar is well-prepared for reputational risks
  • Coordinate with social media, content, and internal communications teams to create compelling external narratives that enhance brand perception and stakeholder engagement
  • Serve as a thought partner to SVP, Communications on executive and corporate communications, strategy and execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field, either in-house or on the agency side, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role
  • Extensive experience in executive communications, brand messaging, crisis management, and corporate reputation strategy; Financial or policy-related communications a plus but not required
  • Proven ability to partner with C-suite executives and provide strategic counsel on high-profile communications initiatives
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and content development skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into compelling narratives
  • Ability to be flexible, pivot quickly and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
